Prescriptions & medicines

How do I order a repeat prescription?+

Use the online form on our Prescriptions page - it takes under a minute. Tell us your name, phone number and the medication you need, and we'll have it dispensed and ready for collection at the counter.

How long until my prescription is ready?+

Most repeat requests are ready the same day. We'll call or text you if there is any delay or if we need to check something with your GP.

Can you contact my GP for a new prescription?+

In many cases, yes. Get in touch and we'll do our best to arrange your ongoing repeat directly with your GP surgery.

Do you keep my details private?+

Always. Your information is used only to prepare your prescription and is handled in strict confidence by our pharmacy team.

What is the Drug Payment Scheme?+

The DPS caps what an individual or family pays for approved prescribed medicines each month. Ask our pharmacist and we can explain whether it applies to you.

Vaccinations & health services

Do I need an appointment for a flu vaccine?+

No - you are welcome to walk in, or book a time that suits on our Book page. Most vaccinations take just a few minutes.

Is the flu vaccine free?+

If you are in an HSE at-risk group the flu vaccine is usually free. Not sure if that includes you? Ask us and we'll check.

Can I get a blood pressure check?+

Yes - pop in any time during opening hours for a free in-store reading, or book a slot online. We'll explain your numbers in plain English.

Do you provide emergency contraception?+

Yes. We supply the morning-after pill discreetly after a short private consultation - no appointment or prescription needed. You may be eligible for free supply under the HSE Free Contraception Scheme.

Can the pharmacist help with a cough or cold?+

Absolutely. Skip the GP wait and talk to our pharmacist about everyday complaints - we'll recommend the right treatment or advise if you should see a doctor.

Passport & ID photos

Are your passport photos compliant?+

Yes - we take fully compliant Irish passport and visa photos to the exact specification the Passport Service requires, so your application will not be rejected.

What other photos can you take?+

Driving licence, Garda vetting, ID and travel cards, for all ages including babies. Printed on the spot while you wait.
